  12. We are unable to print color images (documents based
  13. on CGrafPorts) in our MacApp-based application.  Is
  14. the problem in the Print Manager, the LaserWriter
  15. driver, MacApp, or elsewhere?  We are under the impression
  16. that the LaserWriter driver is the culprit and will not
  17. support Color QuickDraw.  If this is the case, when is
  18. a fix expected?  We cannot release our product given the
  19. status of the current driver unless we work around the
  20. problem and produce direct PostScript output (a la PageMaker).

  22. Along similar lines, what is the story with the ImageWriter
  23. driver?  Will it ever handle CGrafPort operations?  Will it
  24. then produce dithered representations of pixel intensities, or
  25. what?  When is such a release planned?

  27. We would like to work within the MacApp framework of print
  28. utilization, but this will require working printer driver to
  29. support the types of color images our applications produce.
